The mission of Third Street Alliance for Women & Children is to improve the quality of life for members of the community, with special emphasis on women and children. In support of this, we provide services to meet the basic needs of individuals and families and provide tools to promote personal development, responsibility and citizenship.
All women deserve the opportunity to independently make those decisions that affect their lives and the lives of their dependent family members. Third Street Alliance believes that the most appropriate way to empower women to make good decisions is to provide them with the best information available, point out the various options, and support these women through the consequences of those decisions. Third Street Alliance believes in fostering independence. To this end, women need to be made responsible for themselves and to themselves at all times.
Third Street Alliance for Women & Children is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located at 41 North Third Street in downtown Easton. Our main building was built in 1902 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Third Street Alliance always welcomes new board applicants, especially after they have attended and participated in committee functions (see below). At this time we are seeking individuals who can bring the following skills:
Third Street Alliance has committees that assist the Board of Directors in carrying out the planning, fundraising and stewardship responsibilities of the organization. We welcome community members on these committees and use committee membership to help prepare potential board members.
Development Committee – This committee supports the efforts of fundraising activities and the promotion of Third Street Alliance. Development committee members are involved with advancing events, building donor relationships, soliciting sponsors and developing revenue to further the agency’s mission. Special event committees, such as the Bistro Auxiliary for our important annual fundraiser, operate under the development committee.
Strategic/Long Range Planning Committee – assesses market and program trends, evaluates program performance and makes recommendations to program staff regarding agency direction. This committee makes recommendations to the Finance Committee for any program enhancements, start-ups or dissolution. This committee is currently making plans for the repurposing of the pool area.
Finance Committee – is responsible for the approval of the budget and any necessary revisions. It is responsible for making decisions such as how much money to ask for from the Development Committee, how to invest endowment funds, how to direct non-designated contributions, etc.
