Special Programs for Seniors

Athough Third Street Alliance provides a variety of services to all ages, we have developed partnerships with other agencies and organizations to bring you programs designed specifically for seniors and those approaching retirement.

Benefits CheckUp

Provided through Lehigh Valley Alliance on Aging and United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley.

Benefits Checkup assists people in connecting with government programs that can help them pay for prescriptions, health care, utilities, and more.

If you are interested in completeing the questionnaire and receiving a list of benefits you may be eligible for, please take one of the following steps:

  • Call Joan Schafer at 610-258-6271 to set up a time for her to meet with you and enter your information into the database. You will get your results at that appointment.

or

  • Using the Benefits CheckUp icon at right, print out the questionnaire and fill it in. Send the completed questionnaire to Joan Schafer at Third Street Alliance via mail (41 North Third Street Easton, PA 18042) or fax (610-258-2112). Joan will then enter your information into the database and send you the results.

Other Programs of Interest

Third Street Alliance also offers adult day services to those adults who are no longer able to stay at home unattended. If someone in your family suffers from Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, or the effects of a stroke, please visit our Adult Day Center page for information on how Third Street Alliance may be able to help.

There are also several aquatics and wellness classes designed with seniors in mind. Both Arthritis Aquatics and Tai Chi can help to ease the pain of arthritis, while water walking is a great low-impact way to get some exercise.
