General Information

Who We Are

Third Street Alliance for Women & Children is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located in downtown Easton. Our main building was built in 1902 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Please visit our Historical Information page for more information on our history and our building.

The mission of Third Street Alliance for Women & Children is to improve the quality of life for members of the community, with special emphasis on women and children.  In support of this, we provide services to meet the basic needs of individuals and families and provide tools to promote personal development, responsibility and citizenship.

Third Street Alliance provides nationally accredited child care, quality adult day services, and wellness and aquatics programs to the entire community and shelter to local women and their children.

Who We Serve

The programs and services available at Third Street Alliance are intended for every member of the local community. While our shelter is reserved for women and children only, all other programs at Third Street Alliance are co-ed.

Our child care center, The Learning Center, serves children from the community as well as children from our shelter, beginning at the age of 12 months. Our aquatics programs, or Wellness & Education, have classes for ages 3 years and up, including specific classes for seniors. Recreational swimming times are also available and children younger than 3 are welcome to attend. Martial arts classes serve children, adults, and seniors. Finally, our adult care center, Sharing the Caring, serves adults from the surrounding communities. While most members are senior citizens, we serve adults of any age who find this service necessary. In addition, Sharing the Caring has sites in Washington, NJ and Blairstown, NJ.

Our Donation Policies

Monetary Donations- Your financial support helps us to provide human services programs to our community.  As a 501(c)(3) organization, your contribution is tax deductible to the full extent provided by law.

You can make a financial donation by cash, check or credit card.  To make it even easier to help, we now offer the option of donation online. To support our mission, click here to be directed to a secure transaction site.

Does your employer offer a Matching Gifts program?  It’s an easy way to increase your generosity!

Are you considering a planned gift? A deferred or planned gift is a way you can remember the people or places you consider important. You can determine during your lifetime where your assets will go --gifts that you can give now or later.  For more information about making a planned gift to Third Street Alliance, please call Betsy Walker, Director of Development, at 610 258-6271 or email bwalker@thirdstreetalliance.org.

Donation of items- We are grateful for the many wonderful items that have been donated to us for our programs. Because of the tremendous amount of items we receive and the limited space available for storage, we find it necessary to limit the items we can accept. We have created wish lists of those items that we currently need and will gladly accept donations of any items on our wish lists. You can download or print our wish lists by clicking the "Wish List" icon at right.

Clothing is especially difficult for us to store, so we do not accept donations of clothing. However, during the months of April and October we will happily accept gently used clothing items.
